RATING
A 2.5 pickleball player is a beginner who is gaining confidence, can hold short rallies, has inconsistent serves and returns, and is still learning court positioning and basic strategy. A 3.25 A pickleball player at a 3.25 skill level is considered a low-intermediate player who understands the fundamentals and can hit medium-paced shots with some, but lacks control over directional changes and consistency in dinking. While they can get to the kitchen line, they have not yet mastered sustaining a dink rally or consistently mixing in more advanced shots like lobs and drops. They are transitioning from basic play and are a solid step above a beginner, but have not yet reached the more competitive 3.5 level.
